CT record store finds.

While driving back from Hartford 2 weeks ago I googled a few record stores and came across this banger among a lot of other things. Jeanie Tracy produced by H. Fuqua for Honey Productions.

Pretty killer song and a near mint copy.

Citispeak feat. Jeanne Harris - I Don't Need Your Handouts (Taco Norteño Edit)

Citispeak feat. Jeanne Harris - I Don't Need Your Handouts (Taco Norteño Edit)

I never was a big fan of the insanely "high" vocal squelches on the instrumental version of this. I just felt like Jeanne Harris took it a bit over the top. Plus there were a lot of pauses I tried to eliminate. DOWNLOAD it while you can. New boogie madness from me & Abelton to you.

El Mostrador W/ Dj Zero.

Everyone has some sort of mentors when they start to dj and this man was one of mine. Yes he's a very talented Dj but more importantly a great friend of mine. Dj Zero can play so many styles of music and never ceases to amaze me how much he lives and breathes music. He has records in almost every room in the house and is constantly searching out new ones. His collection is pretty mind blowing to say the least. He won't ever stop loving music whether it's disco, techno, musique concrete, exotica or old Italian jazz records. I only hope that you'll be able to catch him play sometime. It might be life changing, it was for me. Hope to see you soon Raül.

Mean what you do and say

Watching the Big Chill last night reminded me of a few things. Life is short. Make friends, make music and who gives a fuck what people think. Do what you wanna do, we only have one life to live.

Citispeak on Partytime Records

Another great dub version which could almost use a good edit. Mastered by the one AND only Herb Powers Jr. here in NYC. Everything Herb mastered always had great popping drums that sounded amazing. Seems like a very Garage style track.
