Nile Rodgers and the Chic Organization

Just found this photo I took from last summer when Nile Rodgers  & The Chic Organization played a free show at The Lincoln Center in NYC. The weather was great, there were a lot of people but it never felt too crowded. Nile started out by saying, "we're not a cover band, I actually wrote all these songs". They opened up with "Dance, Dance, Dance"and played "Good Times". I even had him sign a copy of Yum-Yum for me, haha. Needless to say this was an amazing night. If you ever get the chance to see Nile play do it, it'll be super fun!

Fender Bender Returns!

Me and Speculator are back with Fender Bender at Bellwether in Brooklyn. They have some turntables and a Urei mixer in the backroom with a rather nice sound system. This will be a vinyl only affair. This Thursday, stop by if you're around.

Human League - Seconds

Seems more than appropriate that someone finally paired this video with the JFK assassination since that's what the song was about. Gives me the chills hearing such a great song with this. One of my favorite Human League songs ever. Since I just picked up the "Dare" picture disc, I got to thinking how much I really love this track. Beautiful synth work with great percussion.
