Mel Sheppard - Can i take you home (mr disco version)

Found this 45 at The Thing the other day. The version on the 7" is different "remix" and obviously shorter at 3:42 compared to this 12" version clocking 5:35. The remix has a really cool synth growling in there. Killer song. I love this label TSOB, I guess "The Sound of Brooklyn" has changed but we'll see where it ends up. Mel Sheppard producing alongside Billy Nichols.

Who's The Man (With The Master Plan)-1974

Well, it's birthday time again for me tomorrow. I still don't quite know what I'm getting into. I guess I need someone with the master plan to give me some advice.
I just got some great new stuff from www.earcave.com PPU continue's to be one of my favorite record labels into this year. Although I wouldn't mind finding a copy of this too. Kool and the Gang production, Dr. Dre made it famous and it can stand on it's own 2 feet pretty well. I wasn't even born when this came out, but man is it slick.

RARE PLEASURE-LET ME DOWN EASY[7'']

Found a copy of this track a few weeks ago at The Thing. Great Spring song. Uplifting, even if it's a break up song. I have a feeling this one's gonna be on heavy rotation for a bit. Now I just need the 12"!

Weird 1 Year Anniversary Party in Richmond, VA.

I'm goin down to Virginia in a couple of weeks to play this party. Should be a lot of fun. Funny enough I'm considering "not" driving my car. The traffic on the East Coast can be muderous, so I may be riding the bus down there. I guess there's a bus line called "Bolt" or somethin and it has free wifi. It will be worth the trip. Gettin outta Brooklyn is always fun. I guess RVA Magazine is also involved, check them out: RVA Mag

A lot of good people under one roof.

If you're in NY next weekend, go check this out.

Walking Home Final Version

Here's a track I just finished up. I used a Juno 6, Crumar Orchestrator, 606 and 707 on it. It's kinda dark and poppy. Enjoy
