Charles Earland - Intergalactic Love Song

Gonna be a long summer I hope.

Next week again at Midway Bar, Williamsburg, Brooklyn

Rhythm Based Lovers - Boogie Vision

Another Future Times bomber from Steve Summers who put's out a lot of stuff under many different names. From 2008, one of those 7" records you don't mind playing out on 45....

Wow! 3 live sets and 2 great dj's for $10. Seems like a fair deal. Dj Traxx has been here for a week and if you haven't seen him play before, maybe tonight is the night. Slava another Chicago transplant is also playing live and when I saw him play last year in winter it was pretty amazing. Steve Summers I'm sure will also be dropping some great stuff. A lot of good stuff don't miss it.

Theo Parrish - Ebonics

Oh yeeeeeeeaaaaaaahhhhhhh.

Status IV - You Ain't Really Down

Chicago classic. Who's down? Who's not? Who cares? Status IV droppin a track that I still love...

Harold Melvin & The Blue Notes - The Love I Lost

1973 stereo
Lyrics

I can remember planning
Building my whole world around you
And I can remember hoping
That you and I could make it on through
But something went wrong
We loved each other
We just couldn't get along
Take a good look at me
I'm in misery, can't you see

The love I lost (the love, the love I lost)
Was a sweet love (it was a sweet love)
The love I lost (the love, the love I lost)
Was complete love (it was complete love)
The love I lost (the love I lost)
I will never (never) no no never
(Never) love again ooh

I can't remember nothing, no no
But the good times we used to share
I'm so sad and lonely
Without you my life is so dead
I'm sorry to say
You go your way and I'll go my way
It hurts deep inside
The day we said goodbye, but

(CHORUS:)
The love I lost (the love, the love I lost)
Was a sweet love (it was a sweet love)
The love I lost (the love, the love I lost)
Was complete love (it was complete love)
The love I lost ooh ooh
I will never (never) no no never
(Never) love again (I'll never love again)
I will never (never) no no never
(Never) love again ooh ooh ooh ooh
I will never (never) no no never
(Never) love again

The love, the love I lost, ooh
The love, the love I lost

(CHORUS)

Midway Bar in Brooklyn This Friday!!!

I'll be playing records at this relatively new bar in Williamsburg Friday night. Expect a lot of 45's and weird ass trax. Feel free to stop by and check out this new spot before everyone you know dj's here.

Oh SORRY for the horrendous looking flyer, I made it on some weird google program, and I like to keep it ghetto...

CANDIDO - THOUSAND FINGER MAN

The intro to this track is just so good. I remember hearing this years ago at an outdoor party in Spain. Doesn't really get much better than this for me as far as a dance track is concerned. I guess I've seen a ton of Salsoul records living in NY. I haven't run across a clean copy of this one though. Bootlegs galore, this track gives me the chills.
